How Arsenal Have Lined-up Recently

In the draw against Crystal Palace, David Raya started in goal.

Conceding twice, the Gunners defence was made up of Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Jakub Kiwior and Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Declan Rice, Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard started in midfield.

Arsenal’s attackers last time out were Raheem Sterling, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.

Arsenal Recent Form and Tactics

Arsenal have three wins and two draws in their last five matches.

Asked on the different tactical challenge that PSG bring compared to Madrid, Arteta said: “Yeah, very different opposition. I think it’s a team that is very well worked with a lot of detail, with a lot of attention to a lot of things and understanding why certain things happen in the game.”

Having beaten PSG 2-0 earlier in the season, the Gunners will no doubt feel confident about their chances of reaching the final, especially given their opposition’s struggles this season, currently 15th in Ligue 1.

The biggest tactical change for Arsenal is what they do to replace Thomas Partey in the midfield. This could be trickier without Mikel Merino, who is in doubt to start against PSG.

Arsenal Injuries and Absentees to Consider

There were two new notable omissions from the matchday squad against Crystal Palace. Mikel Merino and Ben White were sidelined after picking up knocks.

Arteta said: “Ben [White] and Mikel [Merino] were able to train let’s see if they are able to start tomorrow. Ricci [Calafiori] not able to train.”

Thomas Partey will not be available due to suspension.
