Manchester United Predicted Lineup vs Newcastle United

Manchester United travel to the north-east of England to face Eddie Howe’s high-flying Newcastle United this Sunday, April 13 (Kick off 4.30PM BST). The history-laden encounter comes at the end of a week in which the Red Devils very nearly came away with a win from their Europa League tie with Olympique Lyonnais in France, with André Onana’s error leading to a 95th minute equaliser for the Ligue 1 outfit ahead of Thursday’s return leg at Old Trafford. Here is the Manchester United predicted lineup for tomorrow’s clash at St James Park.

How Manchester United Have Lined-up Recently

Under-fire goalkeeper André Onana remains the undisputed number one for the Red Devils. In defence, Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire and Lény Yoro have been the three centre-backs of choice recently, with Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu the wing-backs. In midfield, a rejuvenated Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte have been the choice, with Bruno Fernandes starring in attacking midfield alongside Alejandro Garnacho. Rasmus Hojlund has kept his place at number nine despite his struggles in front of goal.

Manchester United Recent Form and Tactics

Despite a marked improvement in the football under Ruben Amorim of late, the Red Devils have won just one of the past six in all competitions, their struggles in front of goal hampering them notably in recent encounters with Manchester City and Nottingham Forest. Although results haven’t followed as the Portuguese coach would have liked, there are clear signs that the players are adapting to his 3-4-2-1 formation, with upturns in form for the likes of Casemiro, Dorgu and Joshua Zirkzee added to the continued brilliance of all-action Captain Fernandes.
