Chelsea Confirmed Lineup vs Ipswich in Premier League Tie

Chelsea Team News

Robert Sanchez starts in goal as expected. Before him is a back line with Trevoh Chalobah, Tosin Adarabioyo, Levi Coilwill, and Marc Cucurella. Moises Caicedo partners Enzo Fernandez in the defensive midfield spot with Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto, and Nicolas Jackson completing the front four.

There’s a heap of cavalry on the bench in Reece James, Malo Gusto, Jadon Sancho, Tyrique George, Josh Acheampong, and others.

Notable Changes

The manager has gone with a three centre-back lineup with Chalobah presumably at right-back while Tosin partners Colwill. This may have been a decision made to counter Liam Delap and his physicality but the striker has been named on the bench so this lineup may suffer against a different kind of attack than they were anticipating.

Madueke gets the nod on the wing with Neto back out on the left in a more comfortable setup for both, this comes after a string of underwhelming Sancho performances. Jackson of course is back in as the striker after Christopher Nkunku offered little to nothing in that role against Brentford and Legia.
