Brighton return to Premier League action this Saturday as they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The Seagulls failed to continue their impressive unbeaten league run after they lost 3-0 at home to Aston Villa in the week. They will be hoping to get back on track this weekend and will hope that a win against their rivals can be the boost they need to get into the European places. Here is Brighton’s predicted lineup as they face Oliver Glasner’s team.
Brighton Predicted Lineup vs Crystal Palace for Premier League Clash
How Brighton Have Lined Up Recently
Bart Verbruggen has started the last 13 Brighton games in all competitions and kept his place against Villa with Jason Steele out through injury. Fabian Hurzeler was forced into a change at centre back, with Adam Webster being taken off injured in the cup loss against Nottingham Forest. Lewis Dunk replaced him in the starting 11. Jack Hinshelwood, Jan Paul van Hecke and Pervis Estupinan kept their places in the back line. Republic of Ireland defender Eiran Joe Cashin made his Seagulls debut, having replaced Dunk for the final 20 minutes.

The German manager opted to rotate star midfielder Carlos Baleba. Diego Gomes partnered with Yasin Ayari in midfield. There was also a change in the attacking midfield role, with Brajan Gruda coming in for the injured Georginio Rutter, who Brighton missed heavily.
Kaoru Mitoma kept his place on the left, but recent starter Yankuba Minteh was an unused sub, with Simon Adingra having taken his place. Joao Pedro started up front, as he replaced Danny Welbeck.
Brighton’s Recent Form and Tactics
Wednesday was a frustrating night for the Albion. Not a bad performance, but Villa were very clinical. Marcus Rashford fired in a brace before Donyell Malen added a third in the 100th minute.

Brighton created more shots than Villa, but could not take any of them. Ayari had come the closest after his free kick hit the post. Villa manager Unai Emery and his team did a very good job of nullifying Brighton’s attacking threat.
Brighton Injuries and Absentees to Consider
Solly March and Mats Weiffer made the bench for Brighton in the week. This helped Hurzeler with his injury problems. Hurzeler confirmed that Dutch defender Joel Veltman will miss out. The defender’s absence continues through a foot injury.
Steele, Tariq Lamptey, Webster, Ferdi Kadioglu, Igor Julio, James Milner and Rutter all miss out through injury. Dunk and Estupinan have been confirmed fit to start on Saturday.
