This is a Chelsea predicted lineup for their FA Cup clash with Brighton & Hove Albion. The two teams will meet twice in a row with the second clash coming soon after in the Premier League. With some injuries in mind and potential rotation, Enzo Maresca will have some key decisions to make for this one.
Chelsea Predicted Lineup vs Brighton & Hove Albion for Fup Fourth Round
How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently
Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen have been rotating in goal. The back four has regularly featured Marc Cucurella and Reece James as the full-backs. In the centre of the defence Tosin Adarabioyo, Levi Colwill, and Trevoh Chalobah have shared the minutes.

Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are the starting defensive midfield duo with not many options available for rotation at the moment. Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho, Pedro Neto, and Noni Madueke have made up the attacking trio supporting Nicolas Jackson as the striker more often than not.
Chelsea Recent Form and Tactics
Enzo Maresca has stuck with his 4-2-3-1 base set up which moves into a 3-2-4-1 when in-possession. He makes occasional tweaks to who inverts and to where with the West Ham clash ending with Christopher Nkunku inverting from the left to join Palmer while Cucurella overlapped as a de facto winger. That isn’t the first time we’ve seen such a setup from the manager but it’s the first time in a while, and the first time without Joao Felix as the player moving inside.

Form really is a matter of perspective, on one hand the Blues have two wins from three and only one defeat in their last six. A draw with Crystal Palance definitely felt more like a loss and one of those wins came against League 2 Morecambe in the FA Cup however. One common problem is the lack of clean sheets with the team only managing to keep two in their last 10 outings, one of which also came against League 2 side Morecambe.
Chelsea Injuries to Consider
The manager gave an update during his pre-match conference on his two most natural strikers. After an impressive cameo against the Irons Marc Guiu is now hurt which could be a bad injury, Jackson is also a doubt for this one. They join Romeo Lavia, Wesley Fofana, and Benoit Badiashile on the sidelines while Mykhailo Mudryk remains suspended.
