Ahead of Saturday morning’s Gameweek 11 FPL deadline, here are three midfielders to consider transferring in this weekend.
Three Midfielders to Transfer In for FPL Gameweek 11
Cole Palmer – Chelsea (vs Arsenal) – £11.0 Million
The second highest-scoring midfielder in FPL this season with 82 points, Cole Palmer continues to prove that he is Chelsea’s most important player and that without him, they might not be in the position they are. The Blues got themselves a draw against Manchester United last time out, a result which put them into the top four ahead of this weekend’s opponents Arsenal. The Gunners are without a win in the league in three matches, with only winless Wolves and Ipswich the other sides who have a similar record in that timespan.

Chelsea’s draw with United was just Palmer’s fourth league game this season without a goal contribution, but with Arsenal conceding five goals in their last three games, it’s unlikely that they’ll be able to tame a side who are the third-top scorers in the division. Palmer will be out to make sure he puts his one-game goal contribution drought to an end and ensure he can put Chelsea further ahead of the Gunners in the table this Sunday.
Brennan Johnson – Tottenham Hotspur (vs Ipswich Town) – £6.7 Million
Tottenham’s 4-1 victory over Aston Villa last Sunday made them the new top scorers in the division, and Brennan Johnson was a big part of that, getting the equaliser for his side that pushed them on to victory over the Champions League debutants.
Since deleting his social media in mid-September after he received abuse for his performance against Arsenal, the Welshman has scored four goals in the league, already one behind his total tally for last season. This weekend, he has a chance to make it five goals for the campaign against an Ipswich side who cannot seem to find the luck they need to get themselves their first win of the season.
The Tractor Boys conceded a 97th-minute equaliser against Leicester City last weekend that kept their win column at zero and this weekend could be another difficult one as they look to keep out a side who have scored ten goals in their last four. In those last four games, Johnson has completed 90 minutes in each one, and having scored two goals in that time, don’t be surprised to see him bag again versus the second-leakiest defence in the league.
Harry Wilson – Fulham (vs Crystal Palace) – £5.2 Million
The hero of Gameweek 10, Harry Wilson did the unthinkable for Fulham against Brentford on Monday night, scoring in the 92nd and 97th minute to turn the game around for his side and give them a huge three points. Add to that the fact he was only introduced into the game on 82 minutes, it goes to show that you can make an impact in a match whatever the situation.
The victory for Fulham was their first in four matches and will no doubt give them a big boost going into another London derby against Crystal Palace, who will be desperate to get further away from the drop zone, with just two points separating them and 18th-placed Ipswich.

For just £5.2 million and coming off the back of a game-winning double, Wilson could be an underrated cheap Gameweek 11 option if other assets are out of reach.
