Manchester United have two more games remaining before Ruben Amorim takes charge as their new head coach, as they aim to move into the November international break on a high note. Before that, the Red Devils have gotten some promising news on defender Leny Yoro.
Manchester United Confirm Leny Yoro’s Return To Training
What Did United Say About Yoro’s Return?
The French centre-back, who was signed from Lille in the 2024 summer transfer window, has not been able to play any official matches for the Red Devils. He made a few appearances in pre-season but ended up picking up an ankle injury in the 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the USA.

United confirmed that Yoro has now restarted training with the first-team squad ahead of their UEFA Europa League game against PAOK. They claimed in a statement: “Leny Yoro trained with the rest of the Manchester United squad during Wednesday’s open session at Carrington. The 18-year-old is yet to make his competitive debut since signing from Lille, after suffering a foot injury during our pre-season tour in July, but this is a positive sign and marks the next stage in his rehabilitation.”
When Could Yoro Start Playing For United?
Yoro’s return can be a blessing for the Red Devils’ backline and help add more depth to the centre-back options. He seems to have regained his fitness levels, but might need a few more matches to regain the necessary match sharpness. It has already been reported that he’ll probably be ready to return against Ipswich Town on November 24, which is going to be Amorim’s first match in charge.
