FPL Tips: Three Forwards to Transfer in for Gameweek 9 Including Chelsea ‘Star’

Three Forwards to transfer in for FPL Gameweek 9

With Gameweek 9 fast approaching, here are three forwards who should be considered for transfers into FPL teams this weekend.

Three Forwards to Transfer in for FPL Gameweek 9

Nicolas Jackson – Chelsea (vs Newcastle) – £7.9 Million

Nicolas Jackson is continuing to prove that Chelsea can count on him to lead their frontline, and his goal against Liverpool last weekend proved exactly that when he ran clear of the Reds’ defence to slot home an equaliser. This had Blues fans hoping that that could have been the catalyst to pull off a shock result. Ultimately, Enzo Maresca’s side fell to a 2-1 defeat, but he will be pleased with how his side played against many people’s choice for the league title this season.

Next up for Chelsea’s “star” is Newcastle who are without a league win in four games, and with them conceding five goals in those four matches, this exciting attack of Chelsea’s who have scored in all but one of their league matches this season will be hoping to get back on track as they search for a fifth victory of the campaign.

Rasmus Hojlund – Manchester United (vs West Ham United) – £6.9 Million

Danish international Rasmus Hojlund was handed his second league start last weekend against Brentford and took it with aplomb, scoring in style against the Bees as Manchester United came from behind to win 2-1. Despite the goal being his first of the campaign, it would be a surprise to see him back on the bench this Sunday against West Ham as Erik ten Hag’s side look for their first consecutive league victories this season.

If United play like they did against Brentford, the goals will definitely come against a Hammers side who collapsed at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur in their last match, conceding three goals in eight second-half minutes after a strong start to the game which saw them go 1-0 up.

With United sitting 12th, they’ll be desperate to get themselves back into the top half of the table and Hojlund could be key to their efforts this weekend.

Raul Jimenez – Fulham (vs Everton) – £5.7 Million

The low-cost option for the weekend comes in the form of Raul Jimenez, who is starting to look a lot more like the striker that everyone was accustomed to seeing before he suffered his skull fracture in late 2020. The Mexican striker has four goals and one assist in his last five matches, the kind of run he hasn’t enjoyed since 2019/20, a campaign where he scored 17 for Wolves who finished the season 7th.

Marco Silva’s side may have lost their last two matches on the bounce to Aston Villa and Manchester City, but with Jimenez currently on a fantastic little run of form, they will hope he can keep it up against Everton to ensure they get back to winning ways.
