Newcastle continue their Premier League season as they travel to Everton this Saturday, October 5 at 5:30 PM BST. The Magpies are looking to carry their strong momentum from the last two matches. Here is our Newcastle predicted lineup.

Newcastle Predicted Lineup as They Travel to Everton

How Newcastle Have Lined Up Recently

They rotated their squad for their midweek EFL Cup win against AFC Wimbledon but will return to a more familiar lineup this weekend. Regular starters including Martin Dubravka, Dan Burn and ex-Toffee Anthony Gordon should return to the starting lineup.

Lloyd Kelly started over Lewis Hall at left back for his fourth start of the season. Hall has started the other four matches, including in last weekend’s draw against Manchester City

William Osula made his full debut on Tuesday in Alexander Isak’s absence but did not make a strong impact. Eddie Howe played Gordon as a central striker over the weekend in the league and will do the same on Saturday if Isak is still out.

Newcastle’s Recent Form and Tactics

The Magpies have only lost once in all competitions this season and produced a strong performance to grab a point against City. Howe has persisted with a 4-3-3 formation in all of his matches.

They lie seventh in the table, just four points off the top. This is the last fixture before the international break so the manager will be eager to end this stint on a positive note.

Everton have had the lowest average possession in the league so far this term, so expect Newcastle to dominate the ball. This could persuade Howe to hand Sandro Tonali his second consecutive league start.

It could also allow him to deploy the more attacking-minded Hall at left-back. The former Chelsea man has a two-week break after this match, so will not need to worry about fitness and match sharpness as much. He will also relish the chance to drive at Everton right-back Ashley Young

Newcastle Injuries and Suspensions to Consider

Alexander Isak is out with a broken toe. Howe is hoping “he will be back after the international break”, as with fellow striker Callum Wilson.

Fabian Schar “should be okay” after picking up a knock, as should Nick Pope and Kieran Trippier. The latter pair both missed the midweek match through a knee injury and a minor issue respectively.

Jamal Lascelles, Sven Botman and Lewis Miley are all out with long-term injuries. The first two are out until 2025, but Miley could return later this month.
