‘Will Not Take Risks’: Man Utd Make Key Decision On Potential Return For £115K-P/W Injured Star

Manchester United Predicted Lineup vs Aston Villa

Manchester United’s topsy-turvy beginning to the 2024/25 season continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Twente in the first match of the new UEFA Europa League campaign. They conceded a cheap goal, but it doesn’t look like the management is in a major hurry to rush summer signing Leny Yoro back into action.

Manchester United Make Leny Yoro Injury Return Decision

What Plans Does United Have For Yoro?

The young French centre-back was unfortunate to pick up a nasty foot injury in the Red Devils pre-season campaign after having only been able to play in two games for his new club since joining from Lille in the summer. Yoro has recently shown positive signs of recovery and is back to individual training.

Per Fabrizio Romano, United are not going to rush him back into action. Their medical staff has made it clear that they “will not take any risks” with the youngster’s return and only want him back on the pitch once he’s 100% match-fit. The journalist also adds that: “The feeling internally is very good in terms of how professional he is. Man United know that Leny Yoro has potential and quality and is going to be special. They believe they signed a superstar for the future.”

When Could Yoro Get Back Into Action?

The French centre-back has been ramping up his training intensity in an effort to get fully fit as soon as possible. He is reportedly aiming to return to action and make his competitive debut for the Red Devils in their Premier League clash against Arsenal on December 3.

Of course, Yoro isn’t the only United defender currently on the sidelines with an injury. Luke Shaw is still recovering from the injury he sustained in pre-season training and even Erik ten Hag  doesn’t seem to be fully sure when he’ll return.

But the French defender, who is rumoured to be earning a £115,000-a-week wage package at Old Trafford, will be determined to be at peak fitness when he’s back in action for the Premier League heavyweights and help Ten Hag’s side keep more clean sheets in the second half of the campaign.
