FPL Tips: Three Forwards You Need to Transfer in for Gameweek 6 Including 'Excellent' Player

The Premier League fixtures for this weekend promise numerous goals as we are to witness some high-octane clashes. Last Word on Football brings you three forwards who should feature in your FPL Gameweek 6 squad, with the FPL deadline set for 11:00 AM BST on September 28.

Three Forwards to Transfer in for FPL Gameweek 6

Erling Haaland (£15.3m)

Erling Haaland just can’t stop scoring at the moment. He bagged another one last weekend against Arsenal, the league’s best defence. As a result, his FPL price keeps increasing almost every week.

Manchester City face a tough away fixture against Newcastle United on Saturday. However, Haaland should be able to get his name on the scoresheet. The Magpies will be without their first-choice centre-back Sven Botman, which should work in the Norwegian striker’s favour.

Haaland’s ridiculous goal output has earned him 14 bonus points this season, making him one of the most coveted players in the FPL. Thus, not selecting him can prove to be a blunder.

Kai Havertz (£8.1m)

Kai Havertz has been outstanding for Arsenal whenever deployed as a striker. The German has two goals and an assist in six league games and looks set to add more on Saturday.

Havertz will face a struggling Leicester City, whose defence will likely miss their towering centre-back Jannik Vestergaard. The Danish defender could have been the right choice to contain the Arsenal forward, who uses his physicality superbly to win longballs and lay them off to his teammates.

Caleb Okoli, who is Vestergaard’s replacement, isn’t as experienced as the 32-year-old. The Italian might struggle to match Havertz’s movements. Thus, the striker should quite comfortably get a goal contribution this weekend.

Danny Welbeck (£5.8m) – A Cost-Effective Option for Gameweek 6

With three goals and an assist in just five league games, Danny Welbeck has been “excellent” this season. Consequently, his value has gone up by £0.3m.

Welbeck’s form has helped propel Brighton & Hove Albion to seventh place and they are yet to face defeat in the league. On Saturday, the Englishman faces a tough assignment against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. However, helped by his fellow attackers he is likely to trouble the home defence.

Welbeck scored a direct free-kick against Nottingham Forest last week, proving to be a threat from dead-ball situations. Anyone looking for a low-cost forward option should select the former Arsenal player without second thoughts.
