Chelsea Confirmed Lineup vs Barrow in Carabao Cup

Chelsea Team News

Filip Jorgensen gets the nod in goal, replacing Robert Sanchez. The back four is made up of Malo Gusto, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, and Renato Veiga. Cesare Casadei makes his first start of the campaign in midfield alongside Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The front four is comprised of the talented grouping of Pedro Neto, Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Christopher Nkunku.

Enzo Maresca is without Romeo Lavia with the midfielder set to return against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Notable Changes

Rotation continues between the sticks with the two main goalkeepers trading the shirt depending on the competition. Casadei getting minutes indicates a chance for him to work his way into Maresca’s plans with the midfield occasionally looking light.

The attacking four should be a fluid foursome with a chance for Mudryk to prove his worth on the left with Felix getting some time to play in behind the striker where Nkunku will setup.

Gusto starting instead of Josh Acheampong could raise some eyebrows but the Frenchman getting minutes after injury should help the team more as he gets to regain fitness ahead of the Premier League.

Be sure to stay tuned for the Chelsea confirmed lineup as well as analysis and discussions on who started, who was dropped, and what tactical setup we might see.
