FPL Tips: Three Goalkeepers to Transfer in for Gameweek Four

FPL Tips: Three Goalkeepers to Transfer in for Gameweek Four

Gameweek Four of FPL is almost here, so here are three goalkeepers to transfer in for this weekend.

Three Goalkeepers to Transfer in for FPL Gameweek Four

Alisson Becker – Liverpool – £5.5 Million – LWOF Pick of the Weekend

Yet to concede a goal this season, Alisson Becker should be the primary choice for FPL players in Gameweek Four. There were plenty of questions regarding how well Arne Slot would start life in England, with Federico Chiesa the only immediate incoming made by the Reds during the summer transfer window.

However, the Dutch manager has set his stall out early, winning all of his league games so far and conceding zero goals, with Liverpool the only side to have their goal untouched this season. With Nottingham Forest making the trip to Anfield, banking on Alisson to continue his early season streak of not having to pick the ball out of his net would be a very safe bet.

David Raya – Arsenal – £5.5 Million

Last season’s Golden Glove winner David Raya should absolutely be a consideration for teams this weekend – if he isn’t in the majority already. The second-highest scoring keeper this season so far with 20 points – trailing only to Alisson who has 21 to his name – Raya has two clean sheets in his first three matches this campaign. He conceded his only goal this season so far to Brighton’s Joao Pedro while the Gunners were down to ten men following Declan Rice’s controversial red card in their 1-1 draw before the international break.

A reliable shot-stopper with an impressive defence in front of him, Raya has serious potential to pick up some big points this weekend. Despite Arsenal facing a tough test in the form of Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday in the weekend’s showpiece game, the Gunners players are likely to be extremely fired up for this contest. With Spurs coming into this match off the back of a loss to Newcastle, Mikel Arteta’s men will be smelling blood in what could be a huge bounce-back game for his side.

With Everton making the trip to Villa Park this Saturday evening, Emiliano Martinez could be a popular choice this weekend. It’s been a nightmare start to 2024/25 for Everton, with the Toffees rock bottom of the table on zero points. Sean Dyche’s side blew a 2-0 lead in the last ten minutes against Bournemouth last time out, losing 3-2, so it’s hard to tell just how confident Everton will be feeling as they prepare for another difficult test this weekend.

With the Merseyside outfit’s morale likely to be at its lowest point yet, it will be hard to see them causing a Villa side, who’ve won two of their opening three games this campaign, any issues. Martinez could be in for one of his easiest paydays yet.
