Manchester United will kick off their Premier League campaign on August 16 against Fulham at Old Trafford. Kick-off is at 20:00 GMT. Here are the three best FPL Gameweek 1 picks from Erik ten Hag’s side going into the new season.
Three Manchester United Players To Start For FPL Gameweek 1
Bruno Fernandes ( £8.5 Million)
Bruno Fernandes is the creative fulcrum of this Manchester United team and began his season with an assist for Alejandro Garnacho in the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City. Despite yet another productive campaign in 2023/24, Fernandes will remain at the same price and, with a reasonable start to the season for United, he could hit the ground running in this 2024/25 season.

With 15 goals and 13 assists in 45 appearances in all competitions last season, Ten Hag will be looking to his Portuguese Captain and talisman for inspiration this season once again.
Alejandro Garnacho ( £6.5 Million)
A 1.5 million price increase for Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho reflects his breakout season last time out, scoring ten goals and providing five assists in 50 appearances for Ten Hag’s side. Despite competition for places, his versatility and sparkling form in 2023/24 should ensure him a spot in a refreshed Red Devils’ side for Gameweek 1 and plenty of attacking returns.
Joshua Zirkzee (£7.0 Million)
Manchester United’s second summer signing Joshua Zirkzee could start on Friday evening against Fulham, given the injury sustained by Rasmus Hojlund against Arsenal during the club’s USA tour. A £35 Million capture from last season’sSerie A surprise package Bologna, Zirkzee was instrumental in Thiago Motta’s side securing Champions League qualification, scoring nine goals and providing five assists as the Italian side finished 4th.
