Speaking to ESPN on his decision to join the Red Devils, Hake stated: “Erik called me and asked if I was open to it. I don’t think I have to explain that I didn’t have to think about it very long before saying yes. It’s a great step for me and a great challenge. It will be great to gain experience in the best league in the world.”
What Else Are United Planning?
United have also been reported to have an interest in bringing back former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy to become a part of ten Hag’s support staff and perhaps help the current forwards improve their finishing skills. The Red Devils also recently confirmed Dan Ashworth as their new sporting director after coming to an agreement with Newcastle United for his services.

The Premier League heavyweights are actively looking to improve their squad for the upcoming season. They are reported to be in negotiations with Bayern Munich over the possibility of signing Matthijs de Ligt to improve their backline. They are also reportedly interested in signing Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee to improve their frontline. United kick off their 2024/25 Premier League season on August 16 against Fulham, and they would want all their coaching and playing additions done before that.
