Arsenal are desperately trying to retain the services of their Danish youngster Chido Obi Martin, and hope to fight off interest from other clubs.

Arsenal Want Obi-Martin to Stay

An Improved Offer

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have presented an improved offer to convince Obi-Martin to continue his career at the club. An agreement is yet to be reached by both parties.

Mikel Arteta has been key to Arsenal’s decision to submit a new offer as he wants Obi-Martin to stay. So, it is safe to say the striker has the full confidence of his manager.

Can Obi-Martin Break Into Arsenal First Team?

Obi-Martin might be too young to become a regular in the senior squad. But the domestic cup competitions provide a perfect platform for the 16-year-old to get a taste of first-team football. Standing at 6′2“, he is physically strong for a boy of his age and even appeared for the Arsenal U21 team in December 2023.

There is not much competition for the striker spot at Arsenal right now. Kai Havertz is the most reliable option, while Eddie Nketiah is likely to be sold this summer after continuing to underperform.

Gabriel Jesus has been suffering from injuries and when fit has been forced to play out of position on the wings.  So, if Obi-Martin can show some patience there is a great chance of him getting fast-tracked into the senior team.
