Sky Sports also reveals that the 23-year-old forward has a £34 million release clause inserted in his contract, which expires in two years. That makes him quite the lucrative proposition for United, who are yet to make a concrete offer to the versatile forward.

The Dutch forward could provide competition for Rasmus Hojlund (who they also signed from Italy last year) at Old Trafford, especially after the club released Anthony Martial from his contract.
