After three consecutive losses in all competitions, Bayern Munich are simply trying to return to winning ways. They announced a coaching change for the end of the season, earlier this week. In doing so, the club hierarchy certainly hoped to at least take away the outside distraction of the constant media debate, regarding whether or not Thomas Tuchel is the right man for the job. Even so, Saturday’s match pits the Bavarians against RB Leipzig, a side Tuchel has failed to beat, so far during his time at Bayern. Last Word on Football brings you our Bayern Munich predicted lineup for the encounter.
Bayern Munich Predicted Lineup vs RB Leipzig
How Bayern Munich Have Lined Up Recently
In the particularly disappointing defeat to VfL Bochum last time out, the team lined up as follows: Manuel Neuer was in goal, as Raphael Guerreiro and Noussair Mazraoui were the starting fullbacks. Kim Min-jae and Matthijs de Ligt began in the centre of defence. Meanwhile, Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich started as the holding midfielders of the team. Finally, Thomas Müller, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Jamal Musiala, and Harry Kane made up the front four, thus, giving Leroy Sané some much-needed rest, at least in the opening hour of the game.

They continued their incredibly bad luck with injuries, as Mazraoui had to leave the field with a muscular issue after more than 30 minutes. Dayot Upamecano came on for him, only to be sent off late in the match, (as he had been in the UEFA Champions League encounter against Lazio earlier that week.)

Bayern’s defence has been relatively leaky all season, but now they also keep losing defenders to injury or suspension on top of that. There will not be a natural right-back in the starting 11 on Saturday.
Bayern Munich Recent Form and Tactics
The side are on a three-game losing streak, as noted above. The main aim now has to be stability. There is no point in dreaming about retaining the Bundesliga title, much less winning the Champions League. It is all about bringing the season to a respectable conclusion. In the pre-match press conference, Tuchel made that abundantly clear as well. He said that knowing that he will not be Bayern’s coach next season gives him and his staff the freedom of not having to base their decisions on long-term concerns.
Bayern Munich Injuries to Consider
Speculation goes out the window – due to the lack of options caused by unavailable players in vital areas of the field. Only Konrad Laimer returns to the squad from injury, albeit not for 90 minutes. Despite that, there are no less than eight first-team players who will not be ready for Saturday’s game against Leipzig. Sacha Boey, Kingsley Coman, Bouna Sarr, Serge Gnabry, Daniel Peretz, and Alphonso Davies remain on the injury list, while Mazraoui joins them there, as Upamecano is suspended.
