This is a Chelsea predicted lineup for their Premier League clash with Liverpool. The Blues come into this one on a solid run of form and would be bolstered by a result against the team at the top of the table.

How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently

Djordje Petrović has been everpresent in goals since Robert Sanchez went down with an injury. Injuries have caused some makeshift back fours with Benoit Badiashile, Ben Chilwell, Levi Colwill, Axel Disasi, Thiago Silva, and Alfie Gilchrist lining out in the absence of the other full-back options.

The defensive midfield pivot has featured Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez while the attacking spots have gone to Raheem Sterling, Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, Conor Gallagher, and Mykhailo Mudryk in some form.

Palmer has been played as a false nine in some games to offer something different from Armando Broja who has been the sole senior striker in the absence of Nicolas Jackson.

Chelsea Recent Form and Tactics

Despite all of the injury woes, Mauricio Pochettino has stayed loyal to a 4-2-3-1 set up. This has brought a strong run of results with only one defeat from their last seven games in all competitions.

The defence has shown some improvement after failing to keep the opposition scoreless for a lengthy spell. They now boast three clean sheets from their last five outings, with Luton Town back in December being the last side to put more than one goal past the Blue’s back line.

Chelsea Absences to Consider

The latest injury update from Chelsea is something of a mixed bag. In good news, Christopher Nkunku and Malo Gusto are both in full training and could play some part in this one, in their stead there is a fresh injury to worry about as Levi Colwill now finds himself sidelined.

Trevoh Chalobah, Sanches, Reece James, Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana, Lesley Ugochukwu, and Romeo Lavia all remain out of action. Jackson, who hasn’t featured due to his participation in AFCON, could play a part in this match after Senegal were eliminated by the Ivory Coast.
