Documents are Ready

According to Fabrizio Romano, the “documents are ready” to complete a move for Timo Werner. The RB Leipzig striker, who boasts a career tally of 151 goals, will join the North London club on a six-month loan with a buy option. The Lilywhites will cover the player’s wages. The 27-year-old has previously played in the Premier League during a two-year stint with fellow London club Chelsea.

Romano also reports that Werner’s buyout option would be between £14 and £15 million. It is an option rather than an obligation so a decision on a full-time move will come later. A known goal-scorer, the German’s abilities could help his new team secure a coveted top-four finish.
