Romano revealed on his social media that Amrabat will travel to Manchester after he completed his medical tests in Italy yesterday. The signing was announced after long-standing negotiations with Fiorentina finally broke through.

The player will be subject to photoshoots, interviews and other media-related activities upon his arrival. According to reports, the Moroccan spoke with Erik ten Hag regarding the prospect of working together this season after the deal between the clubs was agreed.

What Will Amrabat Bring to Manchester United?
The 27-year-old was a main target for Ten Hag’s side throughout the transfer window to bolster their midfield. Amrabat is a combative midfielder who likes to get stuck into a tackle. His physicality and defensive ability will bring much-needed balance to the Old Trafford midfield, as Casemiro is the only defensive presence in the middle of the park for them.

The former Club Brugge player can also play different central midfield roles. He can play as a lone number six, sitting just in front of the backline to provide cover, and as a box-to-box engine – who contributes on both ends of the pitch. It would be a mistake to view him only as a physical player.
The Morocco international is an adept passer, comfortable receiving the ball deep from his centre-backs. He is also an able ball carrier, using his strength and technical ability to move the ball upfield.
