Di Marzio mentioned that he would have been offered a yearly salary of £599,000. However, the journalist has now claimed that the deal will not go ahead as Lazio believed there was “no technical timing” to sign the young forward, despite the fact that they “tried until the end” to get Greenwood into their squad.
Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that the Greenwood deal will not happen now that the transfer window has ended in Italy. The future of the young striker remains uncertain.
