Leeds United Now in Contact With Brighton & Hove Albion Over Facundo Buonanotte – Face Competition
The Need for Deadline Day Business at Leeds
After a very mixed start to the Championship campaign, it is clear that Leeds United could do with some smart deadline day business. The Yorkshire-based club have already brought in the likes of Joel Piroe, Glen Kamara, and Ethan Ampadu, but with question marks remaining over the future of many of their attackers, reinforcements in forward areas would be very useful for them.
The future of Willy Gnoto is, as has been the case all throughout the transfer window, rather uncertain. Everton have reopened talks with Leeds over signing him in recent hours, and this could develop further with the Toffees still struggling for goals despite making a number of attacking signings. Leeds are, for now, insisting that Gnoto is not for sale.
Luis Sinisterra is another player who could leave Elland Road before the transfer window slams shut. However, the Colombian reportedly told fans earlier on deadline day that he would not be leaving Leeds.
Regardless of whether Gnoto or Sinisterra leave, signing Buonanotte would be a very smart move for Leeds. In him, they would be getting a player with an immense amount of raw talent, and someone who already has a good amount of Premier League experience under his belt despite being just 18 years of age.
