Per the Telegraph, West Ham United tried to sign the 23-year-old player early in the transfer window, but their £40 million bid was rejected by the Blues. Reportedly, Daniel Levy will have to offer a transfer fee of close to £50 million to lure the Stamford Bridge side into selling the player.
