Medical Arranged – Leeds United Receive Boost as ‘Unbelievable’ Signing Edges Nearer

‘Done Right Now’: Fabrizio Romano Drops Huge Leeds United Update as Star’s Transfer Saga Finally Complete - Luis Sinisterra

According to Fabrizio Romano, Leeds United have arranged a medical for Djed Spence to sign the Tottenham Hotspur full-back on loan. Spence has previously been described as “unbelievable” by Ian Wright for his outstanding performances.

Leeds United Arrange Medical for Djed Spence

Who is Djed Spence

The Whites securing Djed Spence could be a major coup for the club. The full-back spent last season out on loan at Rennes where he was able to make a strong impression with a series of attacking performances. His profile perfectly suits that of Luke Ayling, being an aggressive wing-back who seeks to bring a lot to the front-line by contributing from wide positions.

Spence has found himself out of favour in North London, however, with Ange Postecoglou preferring to start Pedro Porro instead of the Englishman. That choice has provided the Elland Road hierarchy with the perfect opportunity to sign someone that perfectly suits their needs.

Leeds United Sign the Full-Back on Loan

In spite of his clear talent and a likely incentive to buy the youngster permanently, Daniel Farke’s side will have to settle with having the player for just one year. There is no buy option or obligation to buy rolled into the loan clause, which means that any future deal would be subject to complex negotiations between the two sides next summer.

Leeds have secured the player for a fairly affordable cost, however. At a loan fee of just £1 million, the 23-year-old can provide a lot of talent in a much needed position without breaking the bank.

Anticipated Leeds United Transfer News

There are still plenty of moves to come from the Yorkshire club, with a left-back still drastically needed in addition to a central midfielder. Things are unlikely to be quiet for Leeds until deadline day itself.
