How Leicester City Have Lined-up Recently

Manager Enzo Maresca will likely make wholesale changes to the starting lineup against struggling League Two opponents Tranmere. Having lost four out of their opening five league games this season, the team from Merseyside will be underdogs to progress to the next round. They have only accumulated three points to date and will host the leaders of the Championship with the hopes of turning around their fortunes.

Having secured another loan signing over the weekend, the Italian manager may be keen to give the latest recruit the opportunity to shine. Yunus Akgun, who has arrived from Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal, is seen as a potential starter on the right wing.

Leicester City Recent Form and Tactics

The Midlands club are the only team to have picked up maximum points in the Championship this season. They are only one of two teams in the top four leagues along with Manchester City to have a 100% record. The club have registered five wins in a row to start the season and are looking to maintain their hot start.

Maresca will likely stick to the same formation and demand his team adopt the style of attacking play and fluidity that he hopes will see them make a real push on all fronts. With several squad members able to play in various positions, the manager will attempt to utilise this to his advantage.

Leicester City Injuries to Consider

Conor Coady remains out of contention for another five to six weeks after picking up a foot injury during preseason. Midfielder Dennis Praet will be assessed but is unlikely to be risked on this occasion. There were no fresh injury concerns following the latest league victory against Rotherham United at the weekend.
