Screenshots of Mason Greenwood’s eFootball Return Flood Social Media
Greenwood’s return to eFootball was noticed by several social media users who posted screenshots of the player in United’s squad. Konami has not addressed the decision to reintroduce the 21-year-old into their video game and it is unclear whether this is the result of information provided by the club or an error by eFootball’s producers.
In a statement on Konami’s website from their announcement of the commercial partnership in 2019, the deal between the two is described as providing the series creators with “substantial access to the club’s stars”.

Whether Greenwood’s inclusion in the series is a result of this access is still to be established. However, it would be strange for an official partner of the club to use the player’s likeness without significant reason to believe that he could return to the squad.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the information, Last Word on Football are unable to independently verify the leak.

Manchester United Delay Mason Greenwood Decision
Sky Sports have reported that the Manchester club will not decide on the player’s future before their Premier League opener against Wolves on Monday, despite previous suggestions that a decision would be reached before the game.
The club are believed to be in the consultation stage of their investigation, where they will ask for the opinion of key stakeholders, including the club’s women’s team. This raises questions as to why members of the women’s side were not previously consulted on the decision.
Fans will eagerly await a decision on the youngster’s future, however, it is uncertain how much longer they will be made to wait for an official statement from the club.
