‘Next Hours, Days’: Paris Saint-Germain Nearing Multiple Signings

In yet another busy transfer window for the Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain are expected to soon make two massive moves that could again bolster their attacking force to, on paper, appear to be the most dangerous squad in all of Europe. The two players that are expected to be signed are Goncalo Ramos of Benfica and Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona, both of them attacking players.

Both moves have been in the making for the past couple of days if not weeks. The major announcement came from transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who in a tweet outlined that PSG wants to get both deals done before the end of the week. There was no doubt in Romano’s tweet that the players will be signed, only a matter of when.

Young Players Viewed As The Future Of Club

Details within the signing of Ramos are where the two transfers are currently being held-up, but there should be no worry from PSG fans. Medical tests for Ramos, and likely Dembele, could be booked by the end of the week. Their arrival comes just in time for the team who have not yet been able to grab their top target; the Champions League.

Lionel Messi moving to MLS team Inter Miami, Neymar’s continuous injuries, and Kylian Mbappe’s current saga of trying to leave the team have not just weighed the club down, but also burdened them with the necessity to go out and purchase the closest thing they can to worthy replacement for these footballing legends.

Ramos And Dembele The New Stars Of PSG

Simply put, Dembele’s experience at Barcelona and the French national team, coupled with Ramos’ top-class performances for Benfica and Portugal, make them the perfect duo to sign this summer. Previous splurges made by the French champions have not turned the team into the European champions they hope to be, but fresh blood might be all the team needs to reinvent themselves into a confident side that is unstoppable at every level.

Ramos is only 20 years old, and Dembele is 26. If they are able to stay healthy and maintain a consistent form, the two of them could be the front life of PSG’s attack for years. Expectations at the club, however, have derailed many prominent attacking forces, though. Cavani and Neymar, Cavani-Neymar-Mbappe, and Messi-Mbappe-Neymar all tried but failed to turn their big-money moves into anything more than domestic dominance for the Parisians. Determination, and maybe luck, could help the two star goal-scorers break that streak.
