Fabrizio Romano Drops Tottenham transfer Update as Pedro Porro Clause Triggered
Spurs to Pay £34 Million for Pedro Porro
Tottenham are now set to complete their fourth signing of the summer, with Porro’s move to North London about to become a permanent one.
Romano tweeted: “Tottenham have officially triggered the buy option clause for Pedro Porro — it was already mandatory, so just formal process completed.
“€40m [£34 million] fee to Sporting for Porro, who’s now 100% Spurs player.”
Considering Porro’s age – being just 23 years old – and quality, this deal should prove good value for Spurs.

Spurs Getting Summer Business Done Quickly
Alongside Porro, three other permanent Spurs incomings have been agreed this summer.
First of all, it was Dejan Kulusevski who, like Porro, had been on loan at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium prior to his move being made permanent.
The North London club were able to strike a deal with Juventus that saw them pay less than the buy option originally agreed in the Swede’s loan, getting their summer off to a successful start.
Next, Spurs brought in Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli for a bargain deal, providing them with who they seem to hope will be a long-term successor to Hugo Lloris.
James Maddison then joined from Leicester City after the Midlands club’s relegation from the Premier League last season.
Now, and only on the second day of July, Spurs are set to conclude their fourth signing of the summer, with Porro’s move becoming permanent.
This alongside the appointment of a new, exciting manager in Ange Postecoglou represents some very efficient and compelling business from Tottenham which bodes very well for the coming season.
