In some of the Premier League’s biggest transfer news, Kai Havertz seems to be on his way from Chelsea to Arsenal. Jorginho’s recent Instagram story appears to be teasing the move, as it includes a selfie of the two former teammates, captioned with a collection of eye emojis and a laughing emoji.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the £60 million transfer is already confirmed, and the final contract will be signed sometime this week.

Less than half a year later, it appears that a colleague is set for the same destiny. The lucrative deal would keep the German forward in London, but send him to a whole new team environment. At the Emirates, Havertz would be paired with young attacking stars such as Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka. It’s reported that Mikel Arteta already highly rates the young star, praising him as a ‘talented, versatile player’.

On the surface, the move stands as somewhat of an upgrade for the 24-year-old. While a young Gunners squad competed for the title, a disorganized and confused Chelsea finished in 12th place. Now Havertz, who has previously scored the winner in a Champions League final, will have the opportunity to play in the competition again.

Additionally, Mauricio Pochettino’s jam-packed squad would make it difficult for him to find as much playing time. A transfer to North London appears to be beneficial for the German forward in almost every way.
