Change at Board Level Contributes to Talks for Hernandez Moving to PSG
According to the latest update from Romano, Paris Saint-Germain are now in “well advanced” talks with Hernandez about the French international defender moving to the Allianz Arena. According to Fabrice Hawkins from RMC Sport, The French defender does not want to extend his contract at the Bavarian giants, which is due to expire on June 30, 2024. The Bayern Munich defender is currently recovering from a cruciate ligament rupture and has not played since the first match of the 2022 World Cup against Australia.

Despite the offer of a contract extension until 2027, the left-back has seemingly rejected the proposal. Since the departure of Salihamidzic and Kahn, who wanted to keep the Frenchman – it appears the situation has changed, and Hernandez has reportedly expressed his desire to move on from Bayern Munich.
What Qualities Hernandez Would Bring to PSG
Hernandez, once targeted by Manchester City, is reportedly on £215k-per-week at the Allianz Arena. He joined Bayern Munich on March 27, 2019, from Atletico Madrid for £68 million. The French international has appeared 107 times for the Bavarian giants while earning 33 caps for the French national team.

He brings work rate and endeavour to the full-back position, where he often overlaps the winger. This vital attribute would be another weapon for PSG when the team attack. The Frenchman is also an accurate passer and can make those defence-splitting passes or break the lines with his decisive passing. The Bayern Munich full-back also possesses impressive speed, which allows him to join in attacks – and get back to support his team defensively. Hernandez is adept at reading the game, often stopping dangerous opposition attacks with timely interceptions. Losing Hernandez would seemingly be a blow for the German giants but a shot in the arm for Paris Saint-Germain.
