Former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann is seriously considering the prospect of becoming the next Tottenham Hotspur manager after rejecting Chelsea, claims BILD’s Christian Falk. Spurs are yet to name a permanent successor to Antonio Conte, who was sacked last month.
Julian Nagelsmann Interested in Tottenham Hotspur Offer
Out of Manager-Poker at @chelsea: Julian Nagelsmann is concentrating now on @SpursOfficial Tottenham. Crazy constellation: he would then accept the job that his successor at Bayern Thomas Tuchel rejected (my new column at @caughtoffside)

Nagelsmann Concentrating on Spurs Job After Making Chelsea Decision
It was reported recently that the German manager had taken himself out of contention to become the next Chelsea manager and a long-term successor to the sacked Graham Potter. After doing that, Nagelsmann is eyeing a potential arrival in the Premier League with another London side.

Falk states that the 35-year-old manager is concentrating on the possibility of becoming the new Spurs manager and accepting the job that his successor at Bayern Munich, Thomas Tuchel, had reportedly rejected. It’s also added that Nagelsmann is very tempted to take up the role of the new Spurs manager at the start of next season and the only reason he rejected them after Conte’s departure was that he wants a little bit of a break from football before getting back into it.
What Can Nagelsmann Bring to Tottenham?
Even though he might only be 35, Nagelsmann is widely recognized as one of the brightest young managers in Europe. He earned his reputation with some impressive work in Bundesliga for Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig. He helped Hoffenheim maintain impressive finishes in the league during his tenure before joining Leipzig in 2019.
Nagelsmann constantly kept Leipzig in the top-4 and even helped them qualify for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in the 2019-20 season. In 2021, he joined Bayern Munich as Hansi Flick’s replacement and helped the Bavarians win the league in his first season. However, due to internal conflicts and topsy-turvy results for Bayern in his second campaign, Nagelsmann ended up being sacked by Bayern last month – despite having a 71% winning rate. The 35-year-old is known for promoting attacking football and giving a lot of freedom to his players.

He usually likes to command his side to play a possession-heavy, fast-paced attacking style – where players are encouraged to move out of their areas to cause trouble. Nagelsmann is known for being a really innovative manager who knows how to work with young players and get the best out of them. He was called an ‘outstanding manager’ by Bayern midfielder Joshua Kimmich before his sacking, but it remains to be seen if Tottenham makes the final decision to bring him in as their next manager who can take them forward.
