Graham Potter gave his pre-match press conference on March 3 and had some updates on the availability of some key players. Here is the Chelsea team news coming out of that conference as Potter gears up for a big clash with Leeds United
Chelsea Team News for Leeds United Match
Reece James Doubtful
One of the biggest blows to come out of the media scrum is the news that right-back James is doubtful for the game. The England international missed a large chunk of the season with a knee issue and could miss out against the Peacocks.

With Cesar Azpilicueta still recovering from a concussion the door could be open for Trevoh Chalobah to return to the lineup at the right-back spot.
Thiago Silva Timeline
Club captain and a key part of the defence, Silva went off against Tottenham Hotspur and it was revealed by his coach that the Brazilian is set to miss around six weeks with his injury. The defender is set to miss some key matches in his time on the sidelines, thankfully new signing Benoit Badiashile has settled in quickly at Stamford Bridge and can slot in alongside Kalidou Koulibaly or Wesley Fofana.
Mason Mount Out
While he has lost his place in the starting lineup recently it still comes as a surprising blow that the English midfielder will be unavailable for the match with Leeds United. According to his manager, the 24-year-old is dealing with an issue in his lower abdomen.
Other Chelsea Team News Updates
It was quite the newsworthy conference from Potter as he also gave updates on Edouard Mendy and N’Golo Kante. The French midfielder has had his first training session since returning but needs more time, meanwhile, the Senegalese goalkeeper is “making progress”.
No update was given on the status of Chrisitan Pulisic who still needs time to recover, but isn’t out for the entire season like Armando Broja.
