Forrest Overcome Stumbling Block
Nottingham Forrest had been looking to sign Navas in the last few weeks of the January transfer window. The Costa Rican has only played two games for PSG this season in the Coupe De France, with manager Christophe Galtier starting Gianluigi Donnarumma on most occasions.

Romano had reported earlier in the transfer window that Navas was open to the move, but that the salary share between clubs had to be sorted out. That was resolved in the last few hours of the transfer window.
Last week, Galtier described Navas as “a great competitor” but conceded that he would not try to block a move.
“Because of the person he is and his career, we must respect him and listen to him,” Galtier said.
Why Nottingham Forrest Wanted Keylor Navas
The signing of Keylor Navas makes him Forrest’s 27th signing this season. But this is certainly an important one.
Dean Henderson, on loan from Manchester United, had been a regular for the Reds, but the goalkeeper suffered a thigh injury in Forrest’s 2-0 victory against Leicester this month which is expected to keep him out until February.
With Wayne Hennessey the next in line to start, signing another goalkeeper became a priority for Steve Cooper. Even though Navas is 36 now, signing a player of his quality on a short-term deal is a no-brainer.
Keylor Navas’ Excellent Career
While he might be in the twilight years of his career, Navas remains a quality goalkeeper with title-winning pedigree. La Liga titles, Champions Leagues, and two Ligue Un championships look impressive on the CV, as do his 110 caps for Costa Rica.
He will bring a wealth of experience with him to The City Ground, and will hopefully be a great asset for Steve Cooper as he looks to keep Forrest in the Premier League for another season. Nottingham Forrest are currently 13th in the league, but just four points separate their current position and the relegation zone.
