Fabrizio Romano Names Possible Manchester United Transfer Business After Two Loan Departures

Manchester United transfer

Manchester United are going to make a decision on the futures of Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri before the end of the January transfer window, confirms Fabrizio Romano. The Red Devils have made two signings so far this month, including that of striker Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley.

Manchester United Transfer: Club to Soon Decide on Futures of Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri

United Could Send Elanga and Pellistri on Loan

The Manchester side has been riding on an impressive wave of form since the season restarted after the World Cup, having won all their games. Erik ten Hag appears to have found his ideal lineup during the time and will continue using the players who are performing well for his side.

This could mean bad news for Elanga and Pellistri. The latter has only received one appearance this season – while Elanga has only started six games under the Dutch gaffer. Pellistri has attracted loan bids from Championship clubs and Elanga is reportedly attracting interest from Everton and Borussia Dortmund, which is why United will make a decision on their futures soon, adds Romano.

However, he also adds that Manchester United are not looking into selling any key players in their squad anytime soon. They are playing in four competitions right now and need a healthy depth to help them compete on all fronts until the end of the season.

United Not Considering Scott McTominay Departure

Romano also adds that he doesn’t believe that midfielder Scott McTominay will be leaving the club for the time being. It was reported earlier this month that Newcastle United were seeking the possibility of signing the Scottish midfielder on loan in January, but Fabrizio states that he is among the many midfielders on their transfer wishlist.

It’s also added that nobody is close to joining them as the Magpies focus on getting the best possible talents that can help maintain their charge for a top-three finish in the Premier League this season. McTominay has made 22 appearances for the Red Devils, but only started ten games after seeing Casemiro take over the defensive midfielder role at Old Trafford.
