The Premier League is back and so too is the pressure for Graham Potter to deliver in London. Let’s take a look at the Chelsea player ratings for their 2-0 win over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Player Ratings vs Bournemouth
Kepa Arizzabalaga – 6
A quiet night for the Spanish keeper but he made saved when needed and bailed out his defence when pressure was applied.
Marc Cucurella – 6
At times out of position on the defensive end but his attacking exploits kept the opposition on their toes.
Thiago Silva – 6.5
Largely as composed as ever but he had some unusually nervy moments when pressured.
Kalidou Koulibaly – 7
Reliable on ball when needed and put a stop to a number of Bournemouth attacks.
Reece James – 7
Showed just why the team has missed him in his recent absence. A constant threat on the right side of the field before his night was cut short.
Jorginho – 6.5
Chelsea’s metronome kept things ticking in midfield. Didn’t do anything spectacular but never needed to.
Denis Zakaria – 8
A commanding presence on both offence and defence. Shades of N’Golo Kante from the loan signing.
Mason Mount – 8
Was a bright spot all night operating behind the attackers. Scored an excellent goal and looked like a creative threat all night.
Christian Pulisic – 6
Had a goal chalked off and never looked likely to cause much trouble otherwise. Solid on defence when tracking back but was almost invisible in the second half.
Kai Havertz – 8
Scored a real striker’s goal and was dangerous throughout. His movement kept the opposition defence worried.
Raheem Sterling – `7
A creative outlet on the wing who set up the opening goal and looked like a threat consistently.
Cesar Azpilicueta (substitute) – 6
Had the unenviable task of replacing James but put in a solid shift on the defensive side.
Conor Gallagher (Substitute) – 6
A late substitute but he was always in the right place when needed on both ends of the pitch.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Substitute) – 5.5
Came on with Gallagher but never got a chance to do anything. Messed up a chance at a counterattack in his only real notable moment.
Trevoh Chalobah (Substitute) – 5
Came on with minutes to go to make a back three. Didn’t get to do much of anything when he came on.
