Another anticipated round of fixtures as the Premier League takes shape going into matchweek 12. Arsenal gained more ground on title favourites Manchester City at the weekend, thanks to Liverpool’s win over the latter. Manchester United struggled, drawing with Newcastle United and Chelsea continued their winning run under Graham Potter.
See what our experts think in this midweek round of Premier League predictions.
Premier League Predictions Matchweek 12
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Nottingham Forest
Jamie Rooke: 1-1
Dan Hepburn: 2-1
Joe Blackburn: 2-0
Jordan Hackett: 2-1
Joseph Howes: 3-0
Brighton & Hove Albion have had a changing of the guard at their helm and are winless in three since Roberto De Zerbi has taken over. Nottingham Forest are next up and who better to get a first win against than 20th place. It won’t necessarily be that easy though…
Jamie Rooke
Crystal Palace vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Jamie Rooke: 2-1
Dan Hepburn: 1-0
Joe Blackburn: 2-0
Jordan Hackett: 2-0
Joseph Howes: 1-0
It is very rare that both teams find the back of the net in a Wolverhampton Wanderers game. If multiple goals are scored, they lose and if a single one is scored, they win – will it end here though? That is the prediction afoot as Crystal Palace aim to turn a string of draws into wins!

Bournemouth vs Southampton:
Jamie Rooke: 0-1
Dan Hepburn: 0-2
Joe Blackburn: 1-2
Jordan Hackett: 2-1
Joseph Howes: 1-1
Bournemouth look a completely different side since Scott Parker’s exit, they have results in them despite looking all but certain for relegation under Parker. They can continue their good run of form under caretaker manager Gary O’Neil and pick up a win over Ralph Hasenhuttl’s struggling Southampton side.

Brentford vs Chelsea:
Jamie Rooke: 2-0
Dan Hepburn: 1-1
Joe Blackburn: 0-4
Jordan Hackett: 1-2
Joseph Howes: 0-3
With both teams in the top half and looking to further their progression, we should have a highly contested game on our hands. Graham Potter has enjoyed the beginning of his career at Stamford Bridge but this may all change following their game on Wednesday. Ivan Toney has been on terrific form and will be hoping that Gareth Southgate is keeping a close eye which may see him convert.
Dan Hepburn
Liverpool vs West Ham United
Jamie Rooke: 3-1
Dan Hepburn: 2-0
Joe Blackburn: 3-2
Jordan Hackett: 3-0
Joseph Howes: 2-1
Liverpool find themselves in eighth position but are hoping for a resurgence of form following their 1-0 win over Manchester City. David Moyes’ side are on a five consecutive game winning streak which means they should have a thrilling match up to feast on. After little goal contribution in the opening embers of the campaign, Mohamed Salah seems to have found his feet and may prove too problematic for the Hammers’ defence.
Dan Hepburn
Newcastle United vs Everton
Jamie Rooke: 3-0
Dan Hepburn: 2-1
Joe Blackburn: 1-0
Jordan Hackett: 2-1
Joseph Howes: 4-1
Newcastle United have been in good form lately, holding their own at Old Trafford on Sunday in a 0-0 draw after two high scoring wins. They’ll fancy their chances back at home against an Everton side that are moving forward under Frank Lampard but may not be good enough to stop the rampant Magpies.
Jordan Hackett
Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur
Jamie Rooke: 2-1
Dan Hepburn: 2-2
Joe Blackburn: 0-1
Jordan Hackett: 1-0
Joseph Howes: 0-0
Tottenham Hotspur are a team that have become good at grinding out difficult performances under Antonio Conte, blending the ability to absorb a lot of attacking pressure and turn it into goals from Son Heung-min and Harry Kane. Manchester United’s performance against Newcastle demonstrated almost the opposite, an inability to score against a difficult back line. Spurs to eke out a win to nil.
Joe Blackburn
Fulham vs Aston Villa
Jamie Rooke: 3-1
Dan Hepburn: 0-1
Joe Blackburn: 2-1
Jordan Hackett: 2-1
Joseph Howes: 1-0
Fulham have been at their best in home games this season and whilst a 2-2 draw with an in-form Bournemouth at the weekend may have felt disappointing, they can make up for that with a win over Steven Gerrard’s struggling Villains.
Jordan Hackett
Leicester City vs Leeds United
Jamie Rooke: 0-2
Dan Hepburn: 0-1
Joe Blackburn: 0-3
Jordan Hackett: 1-2
Joseph Howes: 1-1
Leicester City find themselves in an odd position, putting on reasonably good performances but relying quite heavily on the performances of James Maddison. The Foxes missing their midfielder (through suspension) and facing a Leeds United side that were unlucky to miss out against Arsenal is a formula for disaster. Marsch’s men can win 3-0.
