Chelsea remain interested in signing Dynamo Moscow’s Russian “wonderkid” Arsen Zakharyan after missing out on him in the summer transfer window, confirms Fabrizio Romano. The Blues reportedly submitted a bid for the Russia international before the close of last month’s transfer window but failed to complete a deal before the window shut.

Zakharyan Fully Agreed Personal Terms Before Deal Broke Down
The 19-year-old Russian midfielder is very eager to join the London side and had agreed personal terms with the Premier League outfit, according to Romano. The transfer guru also reports that a fee was not agreed between Chelsea and Dynamo Moscow, however the youngster reportedly has a release clause of £12.6million in his current contract.

The West London side are not deterred as they plan to revive their efforts to bring the midfielder to Stamford Bridge and could look to complete the signing when the transfer window re-opens in January.
How Zakharyan Reacted to Chelsea Talks Breaking Down
The 19-year-old midfielder has not lost hope of a move to Stamford Bridge and seemingly remains confident that it is only a matter of time. Days after the summer transfer window closed, he was asked about whether the move broke down and told Russian outlet Sport Express: “There was an offer, but it just didn’t work out. You probably know the reasons.
“How could I refuse? Of course, I agreed [to the move]. I hope everything will be fine. The next window? Maybe.” The Russian teenager is part of Chelsea’s new plan of building a really strong young core that can help them create a super team in 2030 and make them a force to be reckoned with in the future.

Zakharyan has made 56 appearances for Dynamo Moscow so far in his career, scoring 13 goals and providing 16 assists. He seems ready for the next big step in his career and will hope Chelsea can work out a way to get the signing done in January to help him get his big move to the Premier League.
