Chelsea’s Big Plans for the Future
Ever since they were taken over by new ownership, the Blues seem to have set up a philosophy for assembling the best young players and creating a really strong team for the future. Chelsea signed a number of youngsters in the summer transfer window, roping in Aston Villa’s highly-rated midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, Inter Milan’s young sensation Cesare Casadei and young goalkeeper Gabriel Slolina.

Moreover, they spent major fees for Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana’s signing as well, with the two defenders still having their best years ahead of them. It looks like alongside their quest to sign promising young players, Chelsea are also wanting to secure the futures of those within the club. Mount still has two years remaining on his deal and will happily sign a new contract, which is why agreeing an extension shouldn’t be a problem.
