Winger From Leeds to Fulham
Dan James will spend the 2022/23 season with Fulham. The winger is set to sign on loan from Leeds United for the rest of the campaign. The 22-year-old is seeking regular football in a first team ahead of the World Cup in November. The Welsh international wants to play as much as possible.
According to sources, the winger is at Craven Cottage undergoing a medical before completing the move. The deal has not been fully completed yet but is expected to be done whilst James is in London. Other Premier League clubs were interested in James, including Tottenham Hotspur, Everton & Leicester City.

The winger believed that game time would be less at Spurs compared to Fulham and game time is what James wants and needs. Moving from Yorkshire to London will be a brilliant move for the 22-year-old. Playing more games in the first team with a chance to impress Robert Page the Welsh manager ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.
Despite moving across the Pennines from Manchester United to Leeds last season for around £25 million, James has found himself out of favour with new manager Jesse Marsch so a loan option for playing time and more experience was the best scenario for the winger.
Move Was in Doubt
The deadline day move was at one stage dependent on Leeds getting more players in, however, it seems now that this is not the case. With James undergoing a medical with Fulham ahead of the transfer, the winger will be happy to know that first-team football is more or less guaranteed.

Fulham have been very busy this deadline day, and James will add to this providing there are no last-minute hitches to scupper the deal. According to James Olley the winger has passed the medical but the deal is still waiting for the green for light from Leeds.
