Arsenal Must Finalise Final Details to Secure Jesus Agreement

The Gunners are currently working on a deal to sign Jesus and just need to find an agreement over the little final details to get it over the line.

Arsenal will have to agree on personal terms with the striker before they can move ahead with the deal. This involves agreeing on his salary and financial terms, with the striker possibly demanding over the £90,000-a-week wages which he received at City.

Arsenal also have to finalise an agreement over Jesus’ agent fees and decide how much commission his representative will receive to push the deal forward.

The Gunners are currently on the lookout for a new striker after losing both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang earlier this season. Eddie Nketiah signed a new contract, but he isn’t relied upon strongly enough to be the only option to spearhead their attack going forward.

City Striker Attracting Interest From Multiple Clubs

The reason why Arsenal have to be quick with their work over the Gabriel Jesus deal is because of mounting outside interest for him. Tottenham Hotspur are ready to hijack their arch-rivals’ move for the Brazilian forward.

It has also been discovered that Paris Saint-Germain are now interested in the 25-year-old striker. Knowing how attractive PSG can be, with the prospect of playing alongside Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, Arsenal could find themselves in real danger if the Ligue 1 giants enter the race for Jesus.

Despite being in pole position to sign him, the Gunners have to accelerate their work over signing the City striker and do it quickly to avoid the possibility of any major twist. Jesus would be willing to arrive at the North London club because of his history with manager Mikel Arteta and how fondly he liked working with him at the Manchester club.

With the arrival of Erling Haaland at City, Jesus is pushing for a move knowing his game time will be limited next season. The 25-year-old is still a clinical forward with his prime years ahead of him and his heroics last season – where he scored 13 goals and registered 12 assists across all competitions – have attracted a lot of interest in him.
