A Declan Rice contract renewal is a major goal for West Ham United at the moment, but as per Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder has rejected a third offer tabled by the London club, with the midfielder’s future appearing unclear. Rice remains committed to performing for the Hammers yet is open to a move away from the club this summer, with the strongly interested parties including Manchester United and Chelsea.

David Moyes: ‘Rice Not For Sale’
The midfielder has been in high demand since becoming a centrepiece at both club level as well as on the international stage for England. Rice has been particularly instrumental in West Ham’s Europa League push this season where they are currently in the semi-finals and where victory in the competition would guarantee Champions League football next year.
Manager David Moyes previously expressed how Rice was ‘untouchable’ and has been estimated to be valued at around £150 million. As reported by The Athletic, Moyes said: “The first thing to say is that he is not for sale. If you’re interested, well, it would be north of that. One hundred [million pounds] was cheap last summer. One hundred and fifty just now would be the minimum but he is not for sale. What I do know is that it means there are only certain clubs that could even consider it.”
Who Are Among the Potential Suitors?
Despite the enormity of the price tag placed on Rice’s head by West Ham, several Premier League clubs have shown interest in the highly-rated midfielder.
Amongst those are Manchester City who are set to lose Fernandinho at the end of the season after the Brazilian announced that he would not renew his contract meaning Rice could make for a suitable replacement in a stacked City squad. However, the Citizens are keen to get a contract finalised to land Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund which would be an expensive acquisition in itself.
Chelsea have shown interest previously, but the club is undergoing an ownership transition with their transfer policy currently uncertain. Rice was previously in the Blues’ academy before departing for West Ham.
Manchester United have also acknowledged Rice as a target with the club looking to begin a complete squad revamp following the arrival of Erik Ten Hag.
