Wales hero Gareth Bale will move on from Real Madrid and leave the club at the end of the season, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Welsh international joined Madrid in 2014, playing a major role in helping them win four Champions League titles.

Mixed Times in Madrid
Despite the overwhelming number of titles the club has won with Bale, it has been far from the perfect story on either side.
The former Tottenham Hotspur man has been plagued with injuries since moving to the Spanish capital. This, along with struggles to adapt to a new language and culture seemed to have had an impact on Bale’s performances on the pitch.
Throughout his time at the club, there have also been questions about his attitude and commitment. In 2019, Bale was set to move to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning before the deal collapsed. According to the club’s former manager Cosmin Olaroiu, the deal was “90% done”. He told The National: “The club agreed with his agent. We agreed with Madrid and in the last month – I don’t know what happened there, they lost some friendly games by a big score – Madrid changed their mind.
“First they said they would release him and we would have to pay his salary, then suddenly they said: ‘No, you have to pay for the transfer’.
“And paying the transfer and his salary was a little bit over the budget and so we looked for another player.
“But, actually, I know that it was done 90% in the evening, and then in the morning everything changed.”
Focused on World Cup Qualification
Despite the speculation of where Bale will play next season, he is fully focused on helping Wales reach the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Bale said: “I’m solely focused on this game, this qualification. There’s still a lot to play for. I’m not thinking about anything else. This requires all my attention and all my focus. I’m not thinking about anything else but the game. After that, we’ll go from there.
“I’m a fan, even though I’m playing. I want to see Wales at a World Cup, whether I’m playing or not. It’s a massively important game. We also have the experience to lean on with important games and this is another one of them. Hopefully we can all perform and get a result.”
Wales overcame Austria with their hero Gareth Bale himself scoring a brace in a World Cup play-off semi-final on Thursday night. They will play Scotland or Ukraine in the final for a place at the finals.
Bale is looking to lead Wales to their first World Cup since 1958.
