With Cristiano Ronaldo having moved on to Manchester United, it’s left the Serie A side needing other players to step up and fill his boots.
So far this campaign, Dybala has managed three goal contributions in four games, with one goal and two assists.
With over 250 games to his name for the Italian outfit and over 100 goals along the way, the 27-year old is now set to be rewarded with a new contract at the club.
There never seems to be a shortage of suitors for the Argentina international’s signature, so putting pen to paper on a new deal with his current side would go a long way towards deterring interest for now at least.
Impressed Early On at Palermo
Speaking about the new deal, Juventus Vice President Pavel Nedved said: “We’re negotiating in the right way – we feel close, optimistic.”
It would be a good move for the club, having already let go of one of their prized assets. Dybala is another of Juve’s important puzzle pieces, so the player agreeing on fresh terms would be a boost to them.
Having impressed at previous club Palermo by bagging 21 goals in 93 games, the forward was snapped up by the Serie A side and has been there since 2015.
Although he didn’t get off to the best start with the Italian club, he is now a regular and this season is already one of their best providers in terms of goal contributions.
With a number of contributions already this season, his form and commitment to the club could be vital in terms of getting Juventus pushing back up towards the right end of the Serie A table and to a potential title fight rather than staring down towards the bottom of it.
