Marcelo Bielsa to Agree New Leeds United Contract
Leeds United Have Been Revolutionised under Marcelo Bielsa
Bielsa has been a revelation at the club since his move there when they were residing in the Championship. Having laboured away in the second tier of English football for so long, in stepped the Argentine to rescue them and take them back up to the Premier League.
He not only led them to the title and back into the top tier but, upon his first season back in the top flight, he looked less like a newly-promoted side and more like a club that looked like they could threaten to break into a European spot.
They eventually finished in ninth-place – no mean feat by any means for Bielsa.
Deal Would Keep Him at Leeds Until June 2022

His stint at Leeds has marked his first attempt at managing in England and he has taken it in his stride and performed admirably despite the language barrier. Having also managed in Italy, France and Spain, it might be with Leeds where some of his best work as a manager has been achieved.
With several individual and club honours to his name so far over the course of his career, he will be eager to kick on now at Leeds and try to secure more awards both for himself and his club.
