Lincoln City have confirmed that defender Joe Walsh has agreed a new long-term deal with the club.
The 28-year-old joined the club last summer and has been one of the key players for the Imps so far this season.

Despite playing just 19 games so far this season, Walsh has proved to be a hugely important player for Michael Appleton’s side.
Lincoln have kept 14 clean sheets so far this season in League One, with Walsh featuring in nine of those games. That record is only bettered by team-mate Lewis Montsma, who has helped keep 11 clean sheets so far this season.
However, Walsh has endured his fair share of injuries during his Lincolnshire. The former Swansea City defender is currently nursing a torn calf muscle and may not feature again this season, according to the Imps boss.
“Joe Walsh is quite a way off,” Appleton said recently to Lincolnshire Live.
“I’m not sure how much more of him we’ll see between now and the end of the season.
“It’s what we thought. It was always going to be touch and go whether he plays again this season.
“It was a rupture of the calf. The reason they [the specialists] were hopeful is because it [the tear] was down rather than up [the calf] which apparently gives him a better chance and being ready before the end of the season.”
Walsh has been a huge miss for the Imps since suffering his injury against Accrington Stanley on February 14. They have won just two of their 11 games since then, keeping just the single clean sheet in a 3-0 win over Crewe Alexandra.
As a result, Lincoln will be hoping that Walsh can return before the end of the season to help aid their promotion push.

Speaking to the official Lincoln City website, Imps boss Michael Appleton said: “We are delighted to extend Joe’s time with the football club.
“When available this season, his performances have been outstanding, and he is an important player for us.”
Walsh added: “I am really pleased to have signed an extension and my focus is to finish this season successfully and to get back from injury as soon as I can to help the team.
“I can’t wait to play in front of the Lincoln supporters when they are allowed back into the stadium. I have loved my time at the club so far and look forward to our future together.”
