Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakoyoko has completed a loan move to Napoli, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Serie A side are yet to officially announce the move, but that is expected to change soon. There is no option to buy Bakoyoko permanently at the end of the loan spell.

A Chance to Get His Career Back on Track
Bakayoko joined Chelsea back in 2017, expected to be a big hit at €40 million. He signed a five-year deal, too, signalling that the club intended for him to be there long-term.
However, after just one season in which he failed to impress, he was loaned out to AC Milan, and he then spent the 2019/20 season with Monaco.
Milan did have the option to purchase Bakayoko for €35 million at the end of his loan which was not taken up. His poor Chelsea form initially continued but he did improve as the season went on.
Monaco also had an option to purchase Bakayoko when he joined them on loan, reportedly at €42.5 million – likely down to his improved form at Milan.
A Tough Midfield for Tiemoue Bakayoko to Break Into
This could arguably be Bakayoko’s toughest loan test yet. Napoli possess a talented midfield with the likes of Fabian Ruiz, linked with Manchester City earlier in the transfer window, Germany international Diego Demme and Polish player Piotr Zielinski.
It will be a tough group for Bakayoko to dislodge, but given his performances last time he was in Serie A, he will be confident that he can shine amongst them.
Napoli have started their season well, scoring eight and not conceding any in two games. However, they are not set to make the trip to Juventus after health authorities blocked visitors to Turin. Despite this, both Juventus and Serie A are adamant that the game is going ahead.
The hosts even said that they would field their team, regardless of Napoli turning up or not.
