Liverpool have reportedly approached Schalke regarding 20-year-old centre-back Ozan Kabak. According to Bundesliga journalist Chris Williams, the German side believe their squad is settled and do not want any disruptions now their season has started. However, a bid of around €25 million could force Schalke to re-consider.
It seems that Liverpool have finally sprung into life after a very quiet transfer period up until now. With just over two weeks left until the window shuts, Liverpool will want to be finalising their transfer activity sooner rather than later.

A Centre-Back is Wanted at Liverpool
Liverpool have kept relatively quiet about what is required over summer. However, their newfound interest in Ozan Kabak suggests a centre-back is top of Jurgen Klopp’s wish-list.
The Reds lost one centre-back when Dejan Lovren departed for Zenit St Petersburg last month. Youngster Ki-Jana Hoever is also set to leave for Wolves.
The addition of Ozan Kabak would bolster their options in the long-term, as oppossed to now. At 20 years old, it is expected that he will be on the fringes of the squad if he made the move, but will be eager to impress when called upon.
Liverpool Finally Coming to Life in Transfer Window
The acquisition of Thiago, coupled with the chase of both Ozan Kabak and Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Diogo Jota, has seemingly awoken Liverpool. After a very quiet couple of months, it seems that the Reds are stepping up their game.
Before yesterday’s manic day at Anfield, Liverpool had only signed full-back Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiakos. That’s why when Thiago put pen to paper, it seemed strange that the Reds swiftly made contact with Wolves and Schalke regarding Diogo Jota and Ozan Kabak respectively.
Despite all this late transfer activity, Liverpool have seemingly been the least busy top six club. However, this may not necessarily be a bad thing. Their title rivals will be in desperate need of their new signings to hit the ground running.
