Long-Standing Interest
Palace have reportedly been scouting the QPR forward, and have held a long-standing interest.
The Athletic recently reported that the Eagles are keen on signing the 22-year-old. However, they are not the only club interested.
West Ham United are also keen on securing his signature. As a result, the Championship club are hoping that bids from both clubs will drive his price upwards.
However, David Ornstein’s report for The Athletic does suggest that QPR may have to accept less than their asking price of £20 million.
Eze is Ready for the Premier League
Eze is ready to make the step up to the Premier League after impressing for the R’s in the Championship.
After the 2018/19 season saw him register just four goals, the 22-year-old rose to fame during the 2019/20 campaign. Eze scored 14 goals and registered eight assists, as Mark Warburton’s side finished 13th in the second division.
Eze’s pace and trickery has proved difficult for Championship clubs to handle this season. His goal against West Bromwich Albion on the last day of the season caught the eye of on-lookers. The 22-year-old found himself in empty space on the right-hand side and drove into the box before firing a shot beyond the reach of the Baggies goalkeeper.
Could a Team-Mate Join Him at Selhurst Park?
The 22-year-old is not the only QPR player attracting interest from the Eagles.
Palace are also tracking Bright Osayi-Samuel, who operates on the opposite wing to Eze.
Osayi-Samuel scored five goals and registered nine assists for Mark Warburton’s side, including their goal of the season.
The Nigerian has been the subject of interest from Club Brugge. However, a move is yet to materialise.
