Corentin Tolisso

Two first-team players at Bayern Munich are set to be shown the exit door at the Allianz Arena this summer, with the club willing to sell both Thiago and Corentin Tolisso to raise funds.

Bayern Munich Prepared to Sell Both Thiago Alcantara and Corentin Tolisso

Thiago Eager to Leave Germany

The two international players have been in high demand for some time. Thiago has made it clear that he would like a move away from the club, namely to England, with Liverpool linked with his signature.

Bayern Must Sell Before They Buy

Now, it looks like both could finally be on their way out of Munich. According to Bild’s Christian Falk, the club will have to sell one or both players before they can even consider launching a move for any of the targets that they want during the summer transfer window.

Bayern boss Hansi Flick will obviously want to strengthen his side in the off-season. However, having been told he needs to sell to buy, then both players could be offloaded soon.

Tolisso Impressed in France for Lyon

Tolisso spent the first four years of his career in his native France, where he played his first-team football for Lyon. In his last season for the Ligue 1 side, he featured in 31 games and managed 13 goal contributions despite not being an attacker. It was this form that secured him a move to Germany, with Bayern paying around £37 million for his services.

For the Bundesliga club, he has so far featured in over 40 games for the side. This season, though, he has managed just 13 appearances and is now ready to move on in pursuit of more regular first-team action.

Smaller Sell-On Fee

Thiago has been with Munich for much longer. He has been with the club since 2013/14 (for seven seasons) and despite featuring in more games than Tolisso this season (he has featured 24 times for the club) he too is prepared to move on in search of pastures new.

Now, the main focus for Flick is to find two clubs willing to take on the two players. Both should command a rather hefty fee but with Bayern needing to offload both before they can do any dealings themselves, they may be more likely to sell them on for a smaller fee.
